Mrs. Najma a hypertension patient was admitted to Ahmed Medical Complex (AMC) in near brain dead condition. She was transferred to AMC from another hospital after they had given up the hope of saving her life. At AMC she was admitted in ICU and was immediately put on the ventilator. The trained ICU staff at AMC made every effort to save her life. On the fourth day of admission her family was thinking about DNR i.e. take her off the vent and let her die a natural death, but our highly dedicated doctors and staff convinced the family to keep her on the vent for a few more days. By the grace of Allah the very next day Mrs. Najma showed a little sign of life by moving her hands.
